Am searching for the parents, siblings and 1st family of Frank(lin) DeForest SMITH, b: 7 May 1857 or 1861. In a letter from his Mother written 27 Aug 1890 she mentions BROOKVALE and COOPERSTOWN,but not state. She states that the BROOKVALE CHOIR sang at the funeral, She is telling Frank about the death of his father on Sun before the 27th and mentions John DARLING,RUMP,THURBER,Charley BEAN,Ida STOUT. He was buried beside Stella which I take to be Frank's sister and believe Ann and Minnie to be his sisters. They lived in the country, she mentions Mart plowing to plant Rye, Oats, Wheat and Ben had gone to COOPERSTOWN to pick Hops The story is that Frank's father was a Methodist Minister and in the letter his mother states that he was buried in his Clothes which makes me believe that he was. Frank, could of been marr: before 1892 to Ellen and had son's Charley, Norris and ?, for his mother mentions to give her love to them. Ellen could have been a Native American because it is believed that Frank lived with them for awhile. Any help with with brickwall would be most welcome. Thank you, Clara | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
