DEADMAN | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Query Text: |
I am curious about my wifes maiden name which is Deadman. Does anyone out there know the origin of the name. My son advised me that during the bubonic plague persons of gypsy descent were employed to cart off and dispose of bodies and were referred to as deadmen. Was this the origin of the name. Cheers.
