I have been trying unsuccessfully to findout where my ggrandfather was born and any other information. His name was Samuel Edward Bowring. He was a language teacher and wrote a dictionary. I know he worked in the National University in Mexico in the late years of his life. All I know is he was born in England, married a french woman, Josephine Lemaire, and moved to Uruguay circa 1883. They had three children there, and one more in Mexico, where he died. Their children's names by age are: Josephine Bowring, Arthur E. Bowring, Edward L. Bowring and Magdeleine Bowring.
