I am looking for information on a Hilton Shafer/Shaffer or a Rachel Shafer/Shaffer living in Gallatin Co., KY between the years 1820 and 1850 (estimated). My relative John W. Shafer was living with Rachel in the 1850 Gallatin Co., KY census. Was wondering if Rachel and Hilton were married and how John was related. John W.
