i am trying to find info on my gggrgrandfather, james mcdonald(or macdonald), who came to warren county, penn. 1840 or 1850s supposedly from north carolina to visit his cousin, benjamin raynor. james was born in scotland. i figure he was born abt. 1812. he is on the 1850 census as 38 yrs. living with benjamin raynor's widow, maryann lane raynor and her children and a d. mcdonald age 4. james soon married maryann and they had 2 children before he died in 1854 or 1856. i can't find any info on his death or burial except that it was near lander, penn.. if anyone knows of this james mcdonald , i would be delighted; it would be sad to not be able to not know about my ancestors. i wish i had listened better when my grandma told those stories. thanks, paula wallace | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
