I am looking for information on Drury Fletcher, born abt. 1761, or possibly earlier, and probably in Virginia. He married Sarah Benham on July 6, 1786 in Washington County, VA. He enlisted in the Revolution in SC in 1775. The first record of him in VA is on a tax list for Lunenburg Co. in 1782. I am also looking for information on Capt. James "Jim" Fletcher, a 1/2 or 3/4 Choctaw who married a Choctaw woman named Nancy, last name unknown. Capt. James Fletcher and his family were removed to Indian Territory, Oklahoma in the early 1830s. He made trips back to Missippi to help more Choctaws move to IT, OK. He also served as Choctaw District Chief Apuckshunnubbee from 1838 until 1842. He died shortly afterward, but I don't think his grave has been located or identified. Any help will be gratefully received. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
