Confederate Soldiers buried in the Calhoun County My name is Gale Red, and I am the Division Commander for the Sons of Confederate Veterans. We are a heritage organization, like the Sons of the Revolutions, dedicated to preserving the history of our Southern ancestors who fought in the War Between the States. We are in the process of trying to find all the graves in the state of Illinois for soldiers who fought for the Confederacy. We have so far found no record for any Confederates buried in Calhoun County: We feel there may be some buried in the county, and would appreciate it if anyone knowing of any Confederate soldier buried in Calhoun County would please contact me at gf3smred@peaknet.net Also, if you know of anyone who many be a living descendant of one of these soldiers, please help by providing me their names and a way to contact them.
