Query Text:

I am searching for a possible half sibling. My late mother (nee O'Connor) born June 1939, a teacher from Co. Kerry gave up two children for adoption, one born Sep 1961, the other July 1963. The first was born in Clontarf and the latter was born in St. Rita's Home in Ranelagh. St. Patrick's Guild dealt with these adoptions. I have met both half-siblings and the child born in 1963 is now deceased. We were unaware of the child born in 1961 until after my mother had passed away. My mother once said she was told a baby went to America and was adopted by a family whose father was a doctor. This was said when the child born in 1963 was looking for contact with her. I do not know if this was significant as neither of the children we know of, went to America. My late half sibling got photographs from St. Patrick's Guild, including one of a baby she thought was another child given up for adoption. This photo was missing but has recently resurfaced and I have uploaded it. My mother also mentioned knowing a lady in St. Rita's who had to give up triplets all boys. I wonder now if she was hinting about something she experienced. Its possible she had twins as there are twins amongst her relatives. The additional mystery relates to a number of dreams that I had about this half-sibling. In the first I met a man near a building I thought was a hospital. He was the half sibling I was searching for. He has dark curly hair in each dream. In another dream I saw my mother who gave me information on a doctor (Peter O'Brien) who was connected to her and a baby. Was he the doctor in America she once mentioned, or someone who helped her? My sister dreamt this half brother was also a doctor and born in 1965. But he could also have been born in 1966 as my parents did not marry until late 1967. I further dreamt of him as a young boy and this dream had a reference to boys in plural, maybe twins? In another dream I saw him going into a doctor's house and the doctor called him Philip. If this resonates with you I would be very happy to have contact with you.
