I am writing to inquire if someone is researching John Reed b. abt. 1782 in Massachusetts. Johns' first wife was Esther_?___ and his second was Celinda __?__. John and Esther moved to Rodman, Jefferson Co., NY in the early 1820’s where John died in 1857. John’s son James H. Reed moved to Watertown, Jefferson Co., NY, m. Alice (Smedley) Ackley and died there in 1866. Two other sons, Charles and Lorenzo D., removed to Lorraine, Jefferson Co. N.Y. One of his daughters, Lorinda married Asa Durfey and remained in Rodman while the other daughter, Lucinda married B.B. Rian and moved to Iowa City, Iowa. John and Esther had two other sons, Daniel and Jonathan but I have not been able to find information on either of them. Would anyone possibly have information that might help me find where in Massachusetts John came from or what became of Daniel and Jonathan? Thank you in advance for any and all help.
