Query Text:

I am a white caucasian female searching for my birth family. Born November 8, 1954 in (Saint Louis) St. Louis, Missouri (MO). Born in the Old Maternity Hospital (now part of BJC Health System). OB/GYN who delivered me was Dr. Samuel Soule. Adoption was overseen by Jewish Family and Children's Service and the last names of the husband and wife who adopted me were named Blumenfeld. Birth mother's name on the original birth certificate was Ellen Brown, but I believe the name might be an alias as was standard practice for unwed birth mothers at the time. No birth father was listed on the birth certificate. Adoption records indicate that both birth parents were of Jewish descent. Birth mother was listed as age 19 on birth certificate (meaning she would have been born in 1934 or 1935). Birth mother's occupation was listed as "secretarial school student" and address was a boarding house in Halliday Avenue in St. Louis. In the hospital, after my birth, I was referred to as "Baby Girl Brown."
