Baby Boy born Odessa Texas April 8 1953 - My parents told me for years that they did not know the birth parents. Later in the mid 1970s my mother told me that my birth mother's last name was Stringfellow and the father's last name was Allison. The birth was in a doctor's office and as far as I know there was nothing of a typical paper trail for the adoption. I was told the father was a serviceman, and the mother was from possibly Alabama or Mississippi. UPDATE Jan 2015 - we have found my birth father -Frank Conway Allison and that he passed in 1990 in Odessa, Tx. This was through the help of the adoption "angels". I now am in touch regularly with a niece and an older brother and very glad to be able to visit with them on email and phone. I look forward to seeing them in person soon. The Original Birth Certificate shows my mother's name as Elizabeth Stringfellow and we are still seeking any information on her. Thanks again for everyones help - very much!! UPDATE APRIL 2015 - After a match on's DNA test connected me to a first cousin on my mothers side I have found her. She passed in Nov 2012, but has two children whom I have found and enjoy contact with - and 2 of her 9 sisters are still alive - My family tree is blooming. I have traveled to see my brother on my father's side- and had a great visit with him and his family. Thank again to all who helped make this possible!
