Oscar Vollmar, La Crosse County, Wisconsin DOB: 12 Sep 1889, La Crosse, WI Died: 17 Oct 1959 Rahway, NJ Spouse: Elsie Duerr Since I posted my original query, I was able to locate more information pertaining to the Vollmer/Vollmar side of my family. I'm now stuck at Oscar Vollmar's (1889-1959) grandfather: Joseph Vollmer, b. cir 1820 in Kurhessen, Germany; d. 14 Nov 1894, Buffalo County, WI Emigrated to US as a boy, came to Milwaukee circa 1842. Cannot locate in 1850 census. Served in the 27th. Wisconsin Infantry 1862-1865 Married Johanna Ruetti, b. cir 1830 in Switzerland, d. 7 Aug 1876, Wisconsin If you have any information about either of these two individuals, particularly their parentage or exact birthplace, please let me know. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
