Rachel Hartwell, born 1780, married Ebenezer Hartwell 1795, raised 12 children in Chenango Co. New York. Died 5/12/1845 in Michigan, presumably while visiting children, "buried in Michigan" Son, Jonathan Hartwell, moved to Shiawassee Co. (Bennington?)in 1838, postmaster at Hartwellville in 1844. Daughter Hannah married Horace Flint and had 4 children and was in Shiawassee in 1856. Daughter Diantha married Josiah Purdy, and was living in Perry, Michigan in 1856. Any information on the grave of Rachel Hartwell will be very helpful.
