Seeking information and existing relatives of the family of Alexander and Sarah KIRKPATRICK BREWSTER, both born in 1815 in County Mayo Ireland. Alexander and Sarah were married in Westport, County Mayo on Jan 22, 1838. They came to America in the late 1840's by way of New York City with at least three surviving children, John, George and Julia. They first settled in Hamilton County OH and by 1860 had established a home in northern Clark Co MO. One additional daughter, Sarah, was born in 1854 in Warren, IA. Alexander joined the 21st Missouri Regiment in the CIvil War and died after the Battle of Shiloh on June 6, 1862. Sarah died in Clark Co MO on April 27, 1902. Alexander's parents were William and Ann BROWNE BREWSTER. In 1899, John BREWSTER died in Clark Co MO in testate. He is believed to be Alexander's brother.
