Searching for families connected to descendants of the SANTISTEVAN family with origins in northern New Mexico. My ancestor branch of that family is an adoptee (Antonio Domingo) of Domingo Anselmo Santistevan (1737-1800) and Maria Gomez del Castillo (b.1739). Antonio Domingo (b. 1758 Santa Fe NM) was married to Catarina de la Luz ATENCIO (christened 1763 at Santa Clara, NM). I descend through Jose Manuel SANTISTEVAN (1792 Truchas NM-1852 Taos NM) who was married to Maria Rosalia MEDINA (bap.1796 Santa Cruz - 1879 Taos NM). Juan de los Reyes SANTISTEVAN (1831-1908), one of the sons of Santistevan/Medina is my gg-grandfather. Juan de los Reyes was married to Justa SANDOVAL (1835-1894). Margarita SANTISTEVAN (1865 Taos-1943 Trinidad CO), one of the daughters of the couple, Santistevan/Sandoval, was married to Donaciano CORDOVA (1861 Taos-1941 Trinidad CO).
