Thomas W. TOVERY and Mary Jane SHIPP were married Jan. 5, 1854 in Catahoula Parish, LA. Thomas was born in MS and Mary Jane was born in GA. They had these children Elizabeth, Mary, Thomas Jefferson, Peter, Sarah Jane, James M., Cornelia J."Neely", Ettie Lee, Cora Alice, Margaret E."Maggie" and Martha "Mattie". Maggie and Mattie were twins. 1.Mary Tovery married William W. Whatley 2. Thomas Jefferson Tovery married (1) Amanda Bradshaw (2) Amanda Ola "Ollie" Mitchell 3. Sarah Jane Tovery married William Hamm 4. Cornelia Tovery married Willie F. Miller 5. Ettie Lee Tovery married William Zachariah Thomason 6. Cora Alice Tovery married (1)William P.
