I am searching for information on ancesters named Moore. This I know. My 2nd greatgrandfather Gibson Moore was in Carson's Mississippi Reg.in war of 1812. He died in Madison or Yazoo Co. Miss. after 1832. He was born in Carnmoney, Atrim Co. Ireland I think. I believe his wife was Elizabeth. Their children were Leroy, William, Joseph, Elizabeth and Margaret Mary. Leroy was married to Mary Ellison. Their children were Lewis b. 1831, Joseph G. b. 1834, Harrison b. 1841 and James b. 1841? Joseph G. Married Rebecca Comly and children were Joseph L. b. 1870, Frank b. 1870?, Maude and Annie. Joseph G. served in Civil War 18 or 29 or 30 reg Ms.inf. from Yazoo or Madison Co.
