Searching for the Tennessee parents of George W. Risner b. TN 1817. He married Mary Rebecca Bonner abt. 1836 and they lived in Warren Co., TN. By 1850 they were on the Lamar Co., TX Census and in 1860 they were on the Indian Lands West of AR. Census living in the Choctaw Nation near Nelson, OK today. He ran the tannery for the Choctaws there. Afterwards, they moved to Bennington, OK, I.T. Some of the Bonner family may have come to OK with them. After his wife's death, George W. Risner m. second to Celia Homer, a Choctaw, on 16 Jan 1875. All George's children married Cherokees/Choctaws by the names of Purdue, Hunter, Riley, Jones, Loring, Peter/s. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with the same surnames whose ancestry is from the Choctaw Nation in early Oklahoma. clydenefred@juno.com | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
