Hi, I hope you can help me or tell me where to turn for help. I'm working on the Essner Genealogy. My Gr Gr Aunt Marie Anne Essner married Jean Pierre Schlosser and had a passport dated October 21, 1844 for New York for themselves and their children.. That is all the information I've been able to find. I've searched the ships lists on the internet and all other areas that I know of and have been unable to get anywhere. I do have a civil marriage record of them so I know they did exist. There is a John Peter Schlosser in the 1880 census in New York born 1806 in Bourback-le-Bas, Alsace France(Same as the one I'm searching for), but he is married to an Elizabeth born in New York. It is possible that my Jean Pierre Schlosser's wife Marie Anne Essner Died and he married an Elizabeth, but I have been unable to get any further information on them either. I am enclosing an outline descendant of Jean Pierre Schlosser. If you know of or know of anyone that might have information on this family, I sure would like to communicate with them.
