We are looking for a Louisa Rogers, b.1842 in Lee Co Va. Daughter of Adenstone Rogers b.1803 Tenn.. Louisa went to Lincoln Co. Ky. and married a RICHARD GIPSON on Nov 26, 1861, They had a daughter Mary in 1867 and a son Fip/Fipp/ Phip/ Phipp in 1867 and sometime between 1868 and the 1880 Census Richard and Louisa evidently divorce, but she keeps his GIPSON name and takes up housekeeping to support herself and her 2 children.. Along comes the 1880 census and Louisa with 2 kids is living and keeping house for a newly widowed John B. Carpenter and his 2 sons, Thomas 7 yrs and John Logan 9 months.. This arrangement seems to have produced 2 more sons, a Willim Bright Carpenter b.ca 1881 and a George Finnis Carpenter born 1883.... At this point it seems like everyone disappears until the 1900 census when LOUISA GIPSON is living in Waynesburgh, Waynesboro,Lincoln Co. with her 3 son's, William B., John L. and George F... She still is carrying RICHARD GIPSONS name , there is no evidence that John and Louisa ever went thru the marriage routine.... Mary & Fip GIPSON along with Thomas Carpenter are also among the missing... If anybody has any information on any of these people other than John B. & George F., they are my Great Grandfather and Grandfather and we have both of their Ky Death Certificates .. Adem: Just found out that John L. Carpenter b.1879 married a Minnie Yocum in 1900 and raised a family in Crab Orchard, Lincoln Co. Ky.,Maud, Earl,Edith,Edward and Robert... BUT WE STILL NEED LOUISA GIPSON !! Any help will be greatly appreciated....
