Query Text: |
I'm looking for any information about my great-grandparents, Patrick Farrelly (his parents were Patrick Farrelly and Ann Flanagan) and Bridget McKenna. They were married in Moynalty in 1864; Patrick came from Lurgan (Cavan) and Bridget from Skearke (Meath). Patrick emigrated to the States in the early 1850's, fought in the US Civil War and returned to marry Bridget. They left Ireland 9 months after they were married in 1864 and settled in New Haven, Connecticut for 10 years, eventually homesteading in Columbus, Nebraska. I am also interested in any information for Andrew Farrelly (Patrick's younger brother). He also lived in New Haven, and had a daughter Margaret who later married a Seery. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
