Susanna Gibson Lay, was mentioned some time back but I had company and could not get my query ready. The name Susanna Gibson appears in land transactions and on a Will that I have a copy of from my great aunt. She was not able to prove this was our line. But the land was near those owned by Henry Gibson. It appears that the state line may have changed adding to the difficulty I am having finding the next generation. Those or you out there that have this connection is there any way that our John Gibson could have been her first husband? "Our" John Gibson born abt 1725 was the father of Henry Gibson born 1777. Henry Gibson was the father of Johnson Gibson born 1798. John Henry and Johnson are all thought to have been born in VA, Some reports have him being born in Carolina. Johnson Gibson migrated/or possibly was born in KY; married Rebecca Edwards in 1820 in Christian Co KY. They had a son named Thomas Henry Gibson born 1822. Johnson Gibson had a sister named Melissa Gibson. QUESTION: Can any one connect my John Gibson to a wife and/or parents? I believe they would have been living in VA.
