Adopted name- Donald W Havener Birth name- John H Lafontaine, Bn March 18,1913, in or around the area of, Oneida co., or Herkimer Co, or maybe madison Co, NY. Child was taken, to "St Joseph's infant home". Birth name,John H Lafontaine was taken there around 1913/14. The adoption papers say an Uncle named ?_____ LaFontaine brought the infant, to, St Joseph's Infant Home , Utica, Oneida Co, New York. This infant, was my father.He has passed away since, on Nov 9,1999, at age 86. I would like to research the family of LaFountaine/ LaFontaine, just for History and medical information. Contact would be welcomed also, if anyone has info to add. The adopted family name is HAVENER, from Verona,Oneida Co, Ny. Fredrick A. Havener + Alida (Hide) were the adoptive parents. They, first took the infant in as a foster child. The family were farmers in that area. They attended -St Francis Catholic Church, in Durhamville,Ny. There are several members of the family of Haveners, in that same area. But I need to find out if any LaFontaine/LaFountaine's lived in that same area of Oneida Co, Herkimer Co, or Madison Co,Ny I'm just doing research for my Family......................> Can anyone out there help!!!!!
