I have a letter addressed to Miss Beatrice M. J. Griffton c/o Mrs. J.(? Jacob / Jake) Scherer, 628 Main Street, Toledo, Ohio dated May 3 1921 by the postoffice from a Catholic Priest in Alice, OH. The letter mentions Minnie (possibly her sister Marian GIBERSON LAZEL PETTIT) as a relative of Beatrice; and Jake as an uncle asking about a doctor named Scherer. Rev. John / Jean P. Vonville only knew about another priest named Scherer who grew up in Alsace and was trained in France as he was. BROWN OR GEORGE); NOTE: Also called ANNE, ANNA, ANNIE;seek more info; or, one currently unknown ? Minnie and her many children lived in Columbus, OH and appears to have been married to George Eli BROWN and Joseph GEORGE. Her oldest daughter Carrie was born about 1886 near Madison, OH? Beatrice (granddaughter of Minnie FEARING; daughter of Mabel / Mable BROWN GRIFFTON GIBERSON PETTIT and possibly ?Earl Ralph GRIFFTON / GRIFTON from Columbus; and, was at one time at St. Vincent Orphanage Columbus, OH.) Beatrice was possibly a young teenager and was obviously from the letter spending a vacation with the Scherer family. Who is this J.
