I am wroking on the various Benjamin Birdsalls of Hillsdlae, Copake, and Greene New York. There were three in a row: Col Benjamin 1743-1828: m Eliz Akin 1766 Col BB was born in Quaker Hill, living in Hillsdlae, 1780s-1816, when he moved to Greene, Chenango County. his son Benjamin was apparently born 1781, Married Lydia Bushnell 1804?? this Benjamin was involved in tenant struggles in Copake in 1796-1800, and could not have been 15 yrs old in 1796. His son Major Benjamin, was a officer in NY militia in 1813 and the 4th US Rifles in 1814, and was shot by a soldier at Greenbush in 1818. He would have to have been born by 1794 at the very latest, but the traditional geneaologies show his parents married in 1804. By traditional genealogies, his father BBII would have been 13 in 1794.
