I am looking for information about my GG grandparents Michael Byrns (Burns) and Mary Shanahan. They were born c 1800, married in Ireland around 1828 and emigrated from County Kilkenny Ireland to Nova Scotia c 1833 ans settled in Hammonds Plains, Halifax County. One of their children Pierce Burns was born in Hammonds Plains around 1836 and married Margaret Doyle of nearby Bedford, NS around 1864. One of their children, William Thomas Burns was born in 1870 and married Nora Cashin at Bedford, NS in 1900.
