I am researching my paternal Grandmother, Barbara Louise Weiss (fairly sure of the spelling).b.1856 She was married to Jacob Herber(t) prior to marrying my Grandfather, William Hudson Fryman. She was born in Baden-Baden, Germany. However, I have been told that many people used Baden-Baden instead of their village in that area. I was given a clue from another researcher that she may have married Jacob Herber(t) in Meigs County and the city of Pomeroy. Jacob Herber died 16 Apr 1888 at age 65. My purpose for finding their marriage cert. is that it may tell the village she was born in. She arrived here in 1871 at age of 15. They had three children: Henry b.1880, Katie b.1881 and Tillie May b.1881. I have not found death records for Henry or Tillie May. | |||||||||||||||||||||
