Looking for info on Marcus Lasher Winnie <b1831> & wife Jane Ann Winnie <b1828> Town of Bethlehem, Albany County, NY. My father was Douglas Winne 1929-1982 who was raised in the Town of Coeymans, Albany County, NY. My grandfather was Arthur Winne 1891-1981 born and raised in the Town of Bethlehem, Albany County,NY. . His father, my great grandfather, was Ira Kipp Winne 1865-1955 who married Ella W. Westervelt 1864-1953. Ira K. Winne and Ella W. Westervelt had seven children. Clara Belle Winne 1886-1918 married Asa Lasher. Edna M Winne 1888-1952 married Edward C.Hallenbeck 1884-1961. Arthur K. Winne 1891-1981 married Barbara A. Van Wormer 1898-1987. Viola Mae Winne 1893-1971 married Fred A. Hammond 1890-1965. Barent Winne 1895-1959, never married. Ethel D. Winne 1890-1956, never married. Ira K. Winne 1901-1986 married, no children. All gravesites are located at Elmwood Cemetery in Bethlehem, Albany County, NY except Arthur and Ira who are buried at Chestnut Lawn Cemetery in New Baltimore, Greene County,NY. Ira and Ella Winne have Seth G. Winnie 1860-1928 buried behind them sharing the same marker. Ira "Winne" and Seth G. "Winnie" are brothers. Spelling did not seem important. The 1880 Federal Census shows Ira Winnie age fifteen <b 1865> living with his parents M.Winnie <b 1831> and Jane Winnie <b 1828> with two brothers Griffin <b. 1859> , William <b.1863> and a sister Maria <b.1869>. I am still trying to determine what Marcus Lasher Winnie's wife, Jane Ann's maiden name would be and possibly who her parents are. Census shows their parents to be from NY. Based on my Great Grandmother Ella W. Westervelts tree, I think Jane Ann Winnie's parents may have been born somewhere between 1800 to 1810. Did she have any brothers or sisters? Marcus Lasher Winne may be the son of Andrew Winne <b 1811> and Magdalen Lasher <b 1811>. Did Marcus have brothers and sisters? Who is Andrew Winne's mother and father? Is Magdalen (Helen) Lasher a daughter of Marcus Lasher? Where might I find their burial places? My research continues.
