My husbands name is Joseph Peter Finch, his dad was George Bernard Finch both born in South Africa. I am trying to trace the information pertaining to the birth of his grandfather Horace Finch whom I believe was born in England. Unfortunately as my husbands father died when he was 7 all family contact with the Finch's was lost. Apparently his grandfather married an italian lady here in South Africa and was one of the last survivors of the siege of Ladysmith. I have no idea when he was born or when he died. Is there anyone out there who can help. George Finch my husbands father had brothers by the name of Barney, Felix and had a sister called Rose Peddie and he cant remember the others. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
