This query is for the Glengarry area of Scotland. I am attempting to find out if the surname of McHone or MacHone is a name native to the Glengarry region. I have been told that the name is from the MacDonnell of Glengarry branch of the MacDonalds.My ancestor was in America on or before 1745, entry point unknown. Please respond if known.
