Query Text: |
Does anyone know the names or origins, birth or death places, dates etc. of the parents of WILLIAM WHITEHOUSE, (born Oct. 10, 1778 either in Maine, New Hampshire, or Nova Scotia,Canada and died Feb. 18, 1855, in Argyle, Nova Scotia. He was adopted by the family of JEREMIAH FROST, purportedly in Shelburne, NS, and taken to the Argyle area to live. As a grown man, he farmed and raised a family on Roberts Island, Glenwood, Nova Scotia. He is my gr-gr-gr-grandfather. I can't trace my family any farther back than him, since I don't know where he came from or who his folks were !! Have been told several times that the family was Baptist, but my father always said they were Congregational, and came from Puritan stock.....Very frustrating....any help appreciated !! I am also a descendant of the RICKER family of Nova Scotia, originally from New Hampshire and Maine, via the Channel Islands. Does anyone know how (or which branch descended from) the Rickers ended up in Greene County area, Tennessee? My husband has connections to that family too ! Thank you, Jan (Whitehouse) and Joe Weems, in Wisconsin. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
