James Sinclair came to Western Australia in 1840. He was born in 1816 at Torbagie (or Torbeggie) in Auldearn, Nairnshire, Scotland - father Thomas Sinclair. He married Mary Glass born 1815 Edenkillie, Moray, in 1837 or 1838 also at Edenkillie, Moray. The only Thomas Sinclair I could find had a son called George born in 1816 at Torbagie (Torbeggie). Thomas's wife was Jean Collie, and their other children were John, William, Elizabeth, Robert, Alexander, Thomas, Charles (all born Moray between 1799 and 1812), then George, David and Jean (all born Torbagie between 1816 and 1822). Thomas Sinclair was born 1768 Alves, Moray and Jean Collie was born in 1777 at Rafford, Moray. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
