Looking for any information regarding a Clarence Campbell who died by drowing in the ST. Croix River in 1951. I believe his parents where Lonnie Campbell and Ella Bridges, I would like information on them as well, his brothers would be William and George. I was told that they where originally from Marble Rock Iowa, my sister seems to remember visiting relatives there as a small child. I believe at some point they moved to Wisconsin. William had a wife named Julia that passed and he married a Lucy Noyes and had 5 children. When William passed away Clarence married Lucy and she gave her first 5 children up for adoption. Clarence and Lucy had five children together(Winona, Myrtle, Frank, Clarence and Robert. They lived in Superior, WI and settled in Rush City Minnesota. Relatives are still in that area. We seem to be unable to locate much of anything regarding this family before Clarence was born. The information I have obtained seems to be that his parents were Lonnie and Ella. I am finding some information that leads me to New York State, that is where Ella's parents are from. I also found a Death record for Hennepin, County for a L.A. Campbell born in New York <1834> and died 1907, could be a possibility. I do know that there are a lot of Campbell's in Iowa hopefully someone can help. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
