I am looking for information on the family of Ernest C. Meyer. He was born in Haover, Germany in 1826 Married Terese (?) Steinhoff of Bavaria c. 1852. Ernest, Terese and 8 of his nine children immigrated to Havana Township in Steele County, MN in 1868. The oldest child, Julius, stayed in Germany and was still there in 1904 whan Ernest died. Augusta, A. G., Henry, Ernest, Robert, Thresa, Conrad, and Bertha were all born in Germany and immigrated in 1868. The youngest, Elvina was born in Minnesota in September of 1869. Henry A. (born 10/1/1855)Ernest's fourth child is my husbands great grandfather. He married Sophia Homeyer May 4, 1879. I would love to find out about the oldest son who stayed in Germany (especially a more specific location than just Hanover and anything about relatives over there) and if Ernest had any brothers or sisters. I believe Ernest's father's name was Henry and that he was born in Hesse Darmstadt, Germany. Is that in Hanover - I don't know. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
