DESPARD GGf Richard Desport, aka, Desper, Despin and originally Richard Depard (d'Espard) is allusive. Born in Ireland Jan. 1830; married 1857. (don't know where for sure) I have him in Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio from 1880 (under Desper in Ohio census). He is buried in Mansfield, Ohio (under Desport) d. 12 Mar 1909. However, because of name discrepancies I haven't been able to trace his earlier whereabouts and family. He married Sarah Anna Fitzpatrick b. 1831 in Ireland & d. 7 Aug. 1908 also buried in Mansfield, Ohio. Family story says they were shunned by families because of religious differences. She Catholic and he Huguenot. THey immigrated to the US. Don't know when. Had the following children: John b.1857-8 Thomas (aka Thomas Hogan) b1859 Catherine b.11 June 1861 Sarah (Sadie) b.1864 Margarite b. 28 July 1869 Dennis b.1874 Mary (Mamie) b.1875 Elizabeth b. 1877. All children used the different surnames also. Any clues as to where in Ireland? Where in the US before Ohio? ANy hints appreciated.
