I am trying to get back further than 1808 on the Rowland side when my great x? grandfather was born in Newry, South Carolina. I would like to know who his wife was, who his mother was and where did they come from. As the records now appear---he just suddenly dropped out of no where. I am also trying to trace the family back to England, Scotland, Ireland and possibly Wales and France. His name was William and in later generations he is connected to the Watson family by the marriage of some daughters. There are also connections with Millers, Calhoun(the U.S. Vice President),Holders, Chapmans. He died around 1900 and had more than 10 children. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
