John TROTTER, b. 4 Dec. 1772; married 24 May 1800, Auchterderran Parish, Fife county; wife- Anna MACKIE; children- Walter (b. 1802); Margaret. Walter TROTTER, b. 27 Sept. 1802; married 4 Feb. 1833; wife- Margaret GUTHRIE, b. 1807-1811; Margaret possibly of Orwell parish in Kinross county; children- John, Jeanette, Ann, James Guthrie, Margaret, Patrick Macgregor Grant, Alexander, and two other children- names unknown. Walter and Margaret and four children died at sea in 1847 while immigrating to America.
