Seeking information on the family of Christian Barger and Martha Price and their descendants. Christian was the son of Philip Barger and Eve, nee Clements, and was born at Blacksburg, Montgomery County, Virginia, August 8th, 1776. He was a grandson of Philip Barger, settler of Blacksburg in 1755. Christian married Martha in Virginia, in 1802. Martha Price, was born in Augusta County, Virginia, in October 1781, and died in Case County, Indiana, in 1847. Christian died aboard a boat in the Missouri River, in 1844. It appears that some of the family lived in Pope County Illinois at one time. (Elizabeth is found in the 1850 Census in Pope County. See below.) Their children were: Thomas, Elizabeth, William P., Christian, and Philip. It is believed that William P. (Penn?) married Delila McGrew, July 8, 1838, in JoDavies County, Illinois Any information on any of these family members would be greatly appreciated. It is thought that the family moved to Missouri at one point, but Martha is supposed to have died in Case County, Indiana. Looking for ALL information on this family. Thanks.
