Dear Colleagues, After 35 years of searching I have finally cracked the birth name of my GGGrandmother. Now I have a whole new set of problems. The kind I love. She was Elizabeth SOUTH, b. 1825 in Ohio. She married John Iseman b 1822 in Westmoreland County Pa.on Sept 14 1848 in Allegheny Township Westmoreland Co. She appears in the 1840 Census living on her own in North Huntingdon Township in Westmoreland County. He traces through a longstanding family of German Lutherans living mostly in and around Greensburg. He and Elizabeth after about 1855 attend the Puckety Presbyterian Church in Lower Burrell Township adjacent to their property. He is buried there but I have no record of her burial. I note a Peter South living in North Huntingdon Township born in 1822 and he may be a brother. All suggestions or information gratefully accepted.
