I am looking for any information about James Parker Dow, who is listed at the age of 19 in the 1870 census in Albion, Maine with his 17-year-old wife, Susan. Family rumor is that he may have come from Chelsea, Massachusetts, but the 1870 census states he was born in Maine. I have been unable to locate him in either a Maine or Massachusetts 1860 census, but family rumor also holds that he was adopted, so Parker may have been his birth name.
