My gt grandfather was Robert Bain MEIKLE born March 1835 he married Jessie Nichol 1864 in Glasgow. his family tree as far as I can go is as follows; Andrew Meikle who married Elspeth Beans 1693 Andrew Meikle Married Mary Balderston 1717 Andrew Meikle Married Agnes Dickson 1753 Robert's Grand father was James Meikle who married Veronica Taylor 1803. Robert's father James married Janet Angus but he seems to have died early as Janet Angus remarried 1841 to James Brown. Does anyone connect to any of these names? I live in Australia and would like to trace any relatives of the present generations can anyone tell me is there a paper in (prefer) Glasgow where adds can be placed to trace families | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
