Hi, I'm searching for information regarding my Grandmother Lula Leore Bridges McRoberts Ball. I think her father's name was John Bridges born in Mississippi. The most information I have on her mother was sir name of Flanegan, a brother they called Doss who worked for Wells Fargo in the early 1900? a sister they called Birdie, and a sister they called Dove. Lula was married to a McRoberts and had a son named Clemons. She then married my G-pa Sidney L. Ball in Miller Ark. on June 5, 1901. They were both residing in Honeygrove, Texas at the time of their marriage. I believe all of this territory was the Red River Valley. Lula died in April 1921 from "Bright's Disease" when my Mother Ina Lucille Ball (McHugh) was only 11 yrs. old, so Mama didn't know much about Lula's family. From a census, her father might have been born in Mississipp in the 1800's. Her mother may have been from Ireland. I sure would like to find this family connection. I've had a hole in my heart all my life from not knowing anything about them. Her other daughter Mary Ball Jackson Behrendt is still alive, in a nursing home in San Antonio, but she doesn't know or remember much about her mother's family.
