I am looking for a female Trowbridge who married an O H Whitsitt, and lived in Decatur IL in the 1920s. A death notice from a 1928 Decatur IL paper, listed Mrs. O H Whitsitt as the sister of Alice Gharrett, whose maiden name was Trowbridge. Alice was born in NY. Her sister, Mrs. O H Whitsitt was probably born in either NY or IL. Their father was born in England, and their mother was born in NY. Most likely the whole family moved to IL sometime between 1857-1878. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
