I'm looking for connections to Samuel C.(Charles?) BROWN. Listed in the 1885 IOWA State census. I believe that this Samuel Brown is my grandmother, EFFIE MAUDE BROWN's father. Place/year of birth, and location of the family on census, coincide with data I have collected to date. This BROWN family lived in and around Climbing Hill, IOWA (Effie's birthplace in 1899), including Lawton, Luten, Bronson (abt 1919), and Sioux City areas (present day). Samuel's siblings, listed in 1885 census is Rachel S. (17yr), Tillie S. (9yr)and Alice A. (19yr). Mother is either Minerva or Manerva (b. abt 1837 PENNSYLVANIA). Father, Charles S. (b. abt 1834 MASS.). 1880 US (IOWA)census lists another child Emma (19yrs b. abt 1861 NEW YORK). EFFIE MAUDE BROWN married a CHARLES WILLIAM DAVID MILLS or MILLER WEAVER (from PENNSYLVANIA).They had at least two children, Eileen E WEAVER (1922, Sioux Falls SOUTH DAKOTA)and Mary Claire WEAVER (1927, Sioux City, IOWA) Effie's siblings are Yvonne b.1901,(m. BROOME) Vida b.1905 (m. MORTON) Adolph A. BROWN (1901). All Woodbury County, IOWA, births. The Samuel BROWN family lived on Morningside, in Sioux City, IOWA. 1920 to mid 1930's (Occupants in 1930 Census, Samuel,Alice (2nd wife),Edith and Yvonne.
