Looking for Abram M Chapman,b in Red Hook,NY 1830s m to Catherine Purdy. Lived in Becket, and Pittsfield, MA. Civil War Vet at 33yrs who was wounded at Ceder Creek. Died in his late forties in Pittsfield of a stroke. Family names Tefft, Tiffs, Taft, Sumner, Adams. His daughter was Alice Bertha Chapman,b 1856 in Becket, MA who married Silas P Thomas b 1848, Stephentown, NY. My ggpts. Looking for Abram's lineage/parents.
