William Greene Peacock was born in 1842 in GA, joined the Gulf Stream Guards, Confederate Infantry, was captured at Antietam, sent to Fort Delaware POW, was awaiting exchange at Aikens Landing, VA (12 miles south of Richmond, VA) when he died in August, 1863. His burial site is unknown. He was removed from his unit roster in Oct. 1863. Any information about him, his burial site, his war record, or any family connections would be greatly appreciated. He was the older brother to James Kinson Peacock (1845-1932) who was a member of Co G 2nd FL Cavalry, and Co A 5th FL Battalion Cavalry, in FL. Thank you, Stan Peacock Peacockse@aol.com
