I am seeking information on the family history of Jonas Hightower, born approx. 1874-1880, most likely in Georgia. He had a natural brother, named Wilson Guyton, also from Georgia. Jonas was married to Lula Graham and for a time lived in Tennille, Ga., residng in a church building, Hubbard Chapel. They moved to Detroit, Michigan the year of the Wall Street stock market crash and finally resided in Lawnside, N.J. He never shared any history of his family origin. At one time, he owned a store in Tennille but had to leave the area after his business drew away customers from a competing store and his life was threatened. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
