Query Text: |
Seeking information on Moses Evans (b 1811 SC)and his wife, Adaline E. Johnston Evans, who were residing in Alabama and Mississippi during the years of 1825 to 1870, living in Lauderdale Co, at least in the mid 1850's when my ggrandfather was born. Moses Evans was born into a Quaker family having lived in Newberry Co., South Carolina since the mid 1700's. They were part of the Bush River Monthly Meeting. Not much is known about the Johnston family because research information has been very sketchy. Aaccording to Suwannee Co., Florida census info, Adaline was born in Alabama in 1825 and both her parents were born in GA. She named her second son John Johnston Evans, the John perhaps being the name of her father. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
