June 27, 1852 & d. 1936) married Jan 14, 1871 to Mary Ann (Johnson) Lee (b. Sept. 25, 1854 & died ? 1887 to 1894) 4 children of James & Mary Ann in birth order; (documented by old Bible entries of Mary Ann in her handwriting & in my possession) 1. Carrie-Amney (Carrie)Lee b. Jan. 28, 1872 / d.?? married ??? 2. Seula Bell Lee (Lula) b. Apr.7, 1875 / d.?? married ??? 3. Chancy Delmer Lee borne on May 28, 1878 / d. 1903-1904 ? 4. Clifard Autain (Cliford) Lee b. Sept. 1, 1881 / d. ?? married ??? James J Lee married Adaline Shafer on or about April 12, 1895 / was childless union as far as we know. Marriage license notice documented by 1895 Portland Sun that is in my possession. Son of James & Mary Ann; Chancy Delmer Lee (gr-grandfather) b. 1878 d. 1904, married Martha Jane Hildreth b. Oct 1, 1877 d. Mar. 1955) married on 24 Dec 1899 One child, a son; Roy Lee, b. Dec. 4, 1902 / d. Dec. 1986 .
