Query Text: |
I am researching Tirrell in Ireland. My gg grandfather was Michael who would have immigrated to the US in 1838. He was born in 1825. His father was James and his mother Julia Carney. In 1860 he lived in West Roxbury(Boston area)His wife's name was Mary Crosby and they had children George(my g. grandfather),Theresa , Charles, & Josephine. I have not been able to locate an exact county or parish for them or any confirmed immigration records. I do believe they may have spelled their name Tyrrell as the only Michael I have found on an immigrant list in 1838 is spelled Tyrrell--which may or may not be my GG grandfather. His spelling is Tirrell on the census in 1860. He lists himself on census records as born in Ireland as is his wife. A brother is believed to have been born in Ballymahon, County Longford. Any suggestions on where to go from here? Thank you Gretchen Tirrell Mello | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
